Baked Parmesan Tomatoes
2 large Firm Tomatoes
1/3 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
A pinch of salt
1/4 tsp of garlic powder
1/2 tsp cracked pepper
1/3 tsp dried basil
A few sprigs of thyme
Chop the tomatoes into thick roundles
And keep them on a fresh kitchen tissue .
This is so that the excess liquid is soaked up by the tissue.
Mix all the ingredients listed in the cheese mix together.
Put generous amounts of this mix
on each tomato roundle.
Top with a small sprig of thyme
Line a baking sheet with an aluminium foil
Drizzle a bit of oil on the foil and spread.
Place the tomato roundles on the foil and bake in a hot oven till the cheese starts melting.
For just about 5-7 mins.
