Red chilli and garlic Chutney
8-10 dry red chillies ( bedgi)
1/4 cup garlic peeled
1 tsp cumin
2 tbsp oil or more ( I prefer MO)
1/2 tsp amchoor/ a piece of fresh kairi/ 1 tsp dry Kachri powder
Deseed and soak the chillies for about 2 hours.
Reserve the oil and add the rest of the ingredients in a mixie and grind adding a little of the chilli water. Grind to a smooth paste
Heat the oil in a vessel. Add in the chutney and cook for a few mins till the raw smell is gone. Preserve in a glass jar in the fridge . It keeps for months.
