Buckwheat/ Kuttu/ Fafar Chilla
1 cup kuttu flour
1/2 cup grated cucumber
2-3 green chillies minced
3 tbsp chopped coriander
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp cumin seeds ( optional)
Mix all the ingredients with some water.
It’s good to mix with your hands so that there are no lumps and we get a nice smooth batter. Let it rest for about 30 minutes.
Heat a nonstick tava / griddle. Take a ladle ful of the batter pour it onto the tava and spread it outward forming a nice round pancake. Drizzle a few drops of oil outside the chilla. Gently but deftly lift it up with a spatula from the outer sides and flip.
Press it down with the spatula so that the chilla is properly roasted. The crispier the better.
Fold and remove .
