Jalapeño Poppers
6-8 large jalapeños ( I used the regular Big chillies)

200 gms cream cheese

1/2 cup APF ( Maida)

1 cup milk

3/4 cup bread cups ( panko/ regular)

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp mixed herbs

1/3 tsp cumin seeds

1/4 tsp salt
Mix all the ingredients for the filling and keep aside
Remove the stem of the jalapeño

Cut into 1″ pieces crosswise

Remove the white inner ribs and seeds

Fill the filling in the jalapeños using a butter knife. ( it’s easier )

Put the milk and Maida in two wide bowls

Line a tray with parchment paper and keep it ready

Dip each jalapeño in the milk then roll in the Maida making a thin cover. Keep them upright on the prepared parchment paper tray

Let them stand for about 5-6 mins

Repeat the process

Fill a dish with the bread crumbs

Dip the jalapeños in milk now roll in the bread crumbs and keep aside.

Fry in hot oil.

Serve with or without a dip it doesn’t matter.

It’s delicious the cheese doesn’t ooze out
Please wear gloves when working on the jalapeños . Somebody calls me “foolish”affectionately and I proved them right. I didn’t wear gloves and now I’m facing the consequences.
