Bisi Bele Bhaat
For the Bisi Bele Bhaat powder

3- 4 dried red chillies 

1″ stick cinnamon 

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp urad dal

1 tsp chana dal

8-10 methi dana 

11/2 tbsp coriander seeds

2 tbsp grated fresh coconut

1 tbsp poppy seeds
For the Bhaat

3/4 cup rice

1/3 cup arhar dal 

1 onion chopped roughly

11/2 cup mixed veggies cubed( peas, carrots, beans, gobi, baingan)

1tbsp tamarind paste 

A few broken cashews fried

A few fried peanuts 

A sprig of curry patta

1/4 tsp hing

1/2 tsp cumin 

1/2 tsp mustard seeds

1 dry red chilli broken 
Wash and soak the rice for a bout 30 mins

Boil the rice and dal separately till cooked. Add the veggies to the rice 

Strain the boiled rice and veggies. Reserve the stock to make a soup. 

Mash the dal completely n mix in the rice. 
Dry roast all the ingredients for the Bisi Bele Bhaat masala seperately. Cool and grind to a fine powder. 
Heat 2 tbsps ghee in a vessel. Add the seasoning let them splutter. Add the Bisi Bele Bhaat masala and cook for a min. 

Add the tamarind paste. And mix in welll 

Add salt the veggies and the boiled rice 

And dal. Mix it well. Garnish with the fried peanuts and cashews . Serve hot with papads.
