Sama Chawal n Sago Dhokla 
A lovely dhokla for vrat / fast. 

It is necessary to soak the Sago overnight so that it becomes soft right through. Or the Sago won’t grind properly   
3/4 cup Sama chawal

1/4 cup Sago 

3 tbsp curd 

Mix in the batter


2 tsp oil

1 tsp ginger green chilli paste 

1 tbsp oil

1 tsp sesame 

1/2 tsp cumin

Chopped green chillies

Curry patta 
Whisk the curd and water wash the sama

N Sago in water drain and add to the buttermilk . Mix the butter milk should be just a little above the Sama and Sago . Keep overnight in the fridge 

Next day grind it in the mixie to a batter add more water if needed. Add a tsp of ginger green chilli paste , salt and oil. Mix it well . Add a tsp of eno ( regular) and steam in a well oiled dhokla plate for 10 mins . 

Make a tadka with oil , sesame seeds , curry patta and green chillies. 

Serve with a green chutney or a sprinkling of Methiyo.
