Ghia ka Kofta ( Appe PAN )

2 cups grated Ghia ( bottle gourd)( makes around 10 koftas)
1 onion grated
1/3 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
1/3 cup Besan
1/4 tsp soda bi carb

Squeeze out the excess water from the Ghia n reserve.
Mix the grated onion, cumin, salt an Besan in the Ghia to make a thick batter. If needed add more Besan. Mix in the soda
Heat the Appe PAN n when it become hot pour a few drops of oil in each cavity. Drop a little batter in each cavity about upto 3/4s full cover with a lid n cook on a medium to sim flame till it starts browing on the underside . Gently release the sides with a satay stick or a knife. Flip n cook covered again. Repeat this process with the rest of the batter. Reserve all the koftas

For the gravy
1 large onion grated
1/3 cup tomato grated( or purée)
2-3 cloves garlic crushed
1 tsp ginger green chilli paste
1 tsp coriander pwd
1 tsp red chilli pwd
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp Garam masala
Salt to taste
A little kasoori methi crushed
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil/ ghee

Heat the oil/ ghee in a wok , add th grated onions . Ginger green chilli paste , garlic n fry till almost golden. Add the tomatoes n spices n cook till the raw smell is no more add the Garam masala n kasoori methi n salt. Cook for a few mins. Add water to make a thin gravy. ( koftas will soak up a lot of the liquid)
Add the koftas let the gravy come to a boil
Serve hot with rice or Roti of your choice
