Cheesy Besan Toast
A great vegetarian option for French Toast or a guilt free option for bread pakoda
A simple n delicious share
A few slices of bread
3/4 cup Besan ( chickpea flour)
1 tsp parsley dried
2-3 chopped green chillies
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
1/4 cup grated cheese
1/2 tsp baking pwd
Salt to taste
Mix all the ingredients with enough water to a smooth slurry. Keep it aside for 15 minutes.
Heat a pan. Sprinkle some olive oil.
Cut up the slices into rounds or fingers or just into 2
Dip the bread in the slurry n let the Besan coat both the sides . Keep on the PAN n roast till the underside turns brown. Flip n roast again pressing down with a spatula n roasting on a med to low flame so that it is cooked through.
Serve with a chutney or sauce of your choice.
