Ghia Khatti Meethi ( bottle gourd sweet n sour)

2 cups peeled n chopped tender Ghia
3/4 tsp red chilli pwd
1 tsp heaped coriander pwd
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
2-3 tsp ghee
Coriander chopped
Salt to taste

For tempering
1/4 tsp methi Dana ( I used 2 tsp sprouted methi)
1/8 tsp nigella seeds
1/2 tsp fennel
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp rai
Pinch of hing
Soak the spices( Haldi, red chilli pwd n coriander pwd in 1/4 cup of water.Heat the ghee add the ingredients for the tempering. As it starts spluttering add the soaked spices cook it till the water starts drying
Add the Ghia n sprouted methi n toss it for a few seconds. Add salt and about 1 1/2 cups of water . Let it come to a boil . Cover n cook till on a low flame till the Ghia is tender but not mushy. Add the salt n lemon juice. Give it another boil n serve. Goes best with besan ki Roti .
