Rajma salad with homemade corn chips
rajma 1 cup boiled with little salt
1/4 cup boiled sweet corn kernels
1/2 onions sliced finely lengthwise
1 tomato deseeded n diced
2tbsp corriander chopped
1 green chilli finely chopped
1/2 tsp of Tabasco ( as much as u like)3/4 th tsp of chilli sauce I used chings
2 tsp lemon juice or more

Salt to taste

For the tempering:
2 tsps mustard oil
1 garlic clove chopped
1/2 tsp cumin
1 bay leaf
2-3 dried red chillies broken
1/2 tsp oregano

Reserve the salt and mix all the ingredients for the salad in a bowl keep in the fridge
Prepare the tempering;
Heat the oil put in the cumin n bay leaf and let it brown. Add the garlic n take it off the flame immediately. Ten add the dried red chillies n oregano cover n let the flavours infuse in the oil. Just before serving. Add the tempering n salt to the salad.

Corn chips
200gms American corn (fresh) kernels
1/2 cup of maize flour
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp of ajwain( carrom seeds)
1-2 tsp of flax seeds( optional)
1 tsp oil

Grind the corn in a blender n remove in a bowl. Mix all the other ingredients. Heat the oven . Grease a baking sheet very lightly with oil. Spread a layer of the batter. Not very thin( ard 2-3 mm) bake for30-40 mins at 200• When it starts become a little brown. Remove n run a sharp knife to make cuts. As big as you want. Cool it should be crisp. If not bake again for a few minutes. Cool and store in an air tight jar.
