Chole (Chickpea) Tikkis

Had I kg of boiled chickpeas and was so done with making chole in various forms, salad, chole ( as I chole bhature) , chaat etc. N these were quite mushy n overboiled. So I thought let me mash them and make tikis. But after mashing it was more like a batter than a dough. But I didn’t give up and the end result was quite nice. So here goes

3 cups boiled, drained n mashed chickpeas
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
Besan 1/2 cup roasted
2 boiled n grated potatoes
1/4 cup peanuts crushed
2 tsp garlic pounded
5-6 green chillies chopped finely
3 tbsp tandoori masala
1 tbsp chaat masala
Salt to taste
A little sooji or bread crumbs to roll the tikis in

Tear the bread slices n blitz it in the grinder to get fine bread crumbs
Add all the other ingredients to the mashed chickpeas. Adjust the seasoning according to taste. Form balls of the mix flatten them slightly. Roll in sooji/ breadcrumbs and fry in hot oil.

Raw Mango Chutney
1 1/2cup raw mango chopped
3-4 green chillies
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp cumin seeds
Sugar 1-2 tsp ( depends upon the sourness of the mangoes )
Salt

Grind it all in a mixie. And you get a nice tangy spicy chutney.
